premise & rules
We here at ~ittsburgh will strive to make this a fun community that is worth your while. We want to be fair and have an open wave of communication between our players and ourselves. We do not require AIM names but we do encourage them as many do enjoy writing in an instant format. We heavily encourage threading and making/tagging open threads is a great way to interact with everyone inside the community. We want to see relatively rounded, thought out characters here where they can hopefully blossom into their full potential.
We’d like to see diversity in all forms be it skin tone, religion, and even jobs. Not everyone is going to be a professor or student and not everyone is going to come from upper middle class and above families. Remember this is a community interaction among everyone is required. If you do not want to interact with people other than the normal folks you have lines with then we suggest you do not join this community. That is what psl’s are for. We don’t discourage interaction with the players you normally play with, we understand that sometimes people just jive together but in a community setting there should be unity.
RULES: (1) the golden rules of rp apply, no ic/ooc crossing, treat others with respect, no crossing streams and if you touch it three times you're playing with yourself. (2) there will be a 4 character limit. not all female, not all gay, not all of them white. if you want to bring in another character take that into consideration. (3) ic username and aim names only, up to one extra letter and one underscore. (4) pb's should be with in 5 years +/- the characters age. (5) Activity is once every month and you MUST have interacted with someone outside of your immediate sl's, you are required to make your intro within one week (7 days) from your acceptance or you will be removed. Activity is 2+ paragraphs of an entry in any format you can think of other than meme's/survey's OR a thread/log. We are not going to police who updated where. There will be an activity drop off point. (6) If you are removed for inactivity you must update and reapply. Three strikes and you are out for good on said character. (7) Hiatuses last for three weeks and you are required to update within a week of returning.
